Got one! Went into my local Curry’s yesterday and they said they would be getting stock at some point this weekend so allowed me to pay then and then got a call today to say it’s in. Now in my car the shop shuts at 16:30 but from what I could see there were 5 behind the desk for sale. Currys Warrington.
In car the down votes were because people thought I had bought all of them. Just to clarify I bought one for me. The 5 were there for general sale on the shelf behind the desk (not the reserved for collection section). Unless they all got snapped up in the last 25 mins before closing they’ll be some there tomorrow morning for anyone who can make it there. Unless you’re a scalper, in which case I hope you break down on the way
Does anyone have a trick to get past the purple circles of death? I've been into multiple stores (game, Argos etc.) and noone seems to have any idea what a PlayStation portal is?!
I've been trying for a month to get one and it's getting ridiculous.
My advice (which worked for me) is to go into Argos, and ask to pay for a home delivery. Quote the catalogue number, because their system will show no stock without the code: 334/0839
It should be available for home delivery, depending on your location, but will show as out of stock online and in store.
Went to my local Argos to try this, said out of stock then told me there was an option to home deliver.... Got really excited, next page... "Sorry unable to home deliver, no stock any where near us" tried 2 other branches, gave them the stock number... No joy was told no stock until 2024.
Thank you for this advice, this worked for me in Plymouth Argos today! I just gave them the product code and they are going to deliver to my home address tomorrow. The website and in-store computers state 'out of stock' but if you request home delivery, they can do that.
FYI Smyths in Plymouth advised me they will not be getting any more stock until January now.

Guy at my local Currys has just told me they expect stock in before Christmas but not sure on amount or what date they'll be in 🤦🏻
Managed to get one today at our local Smyths store. We just monitored the stock over a couple of days showing as in stock around the UK stores, then figured that they were making the rounds around the delivery routes that most companies make. Ended up hanging around for a couple of hours as we saw that the store 40 minutes from ours had 2 in stock this morning which sold out within the hour. They then delivered 4 this morning to our local store so we managed to get one. This was in store only though as even though they showed as in stock online, you're unable to click and collect or have home delivery.
Hopefully this helps other people get one too at some point
I take it we’re all boycotting the scalpers on Amazon marketplace, Stockx and eBay then?
I already have my own Portal but I’m trying to get one for my partner, you’d think with how hard it was for us to get the PS5 they knew this would happen. They should have made so many that scalpers bought them but there was enough to go around meaning the scalpers can’t sell their stock! Or at least have something to say any seller selling at more than RRP on any website with their stock is to be band!
