Thanks to stock checkers I managed to get one at Curry’s yesterday after literally checking all websites constantly throughout the day for as long as I can remember. The website was so slow due to how busy it was so I had my husband trying from work too and now we’ve ended up with 2 🤦🏼♀️ The other one will be sold for what we paid and would love to help out someone else who’s desperately trying to get one for Xmas but delivery isn’t until 19th December so it’s going to be cutting it fine. We’re on the south coast so if anyone is close and would be interested let me know ❤️
It's great that you have managed to secure the PlayStation Portal and it also looks like Currys are honouring most of the orders from the morning.
On a side note: Please don't attempt to engage in any trading on this forum as it could encourage scammers. I know you are trying to do the right thing but please don't offer items for sale on here. You or the potential buyer could get scammed. It's really not safe.
Ok sorry, I was just trying to help out someone who genuinely wants one for a child who will be disappointed at Christmas. I can remove my comment if you’d prefer?
No worries - We know you are trying to do good but we can't allow this as there is no protection in place for buyers/sellers and with items such as this it's a scammers paradise.
I called a smyths store who said they had stock in and asked why we couldn’t add to basket. They said the stock relates to what is in store and they aren’t allowing them to be sold online due to scalper bots. So if you see stock and live 5 mins away go to store and risk it as selling first come basis, otherwise not worth journey.
That’s so annoying, It says 6 in stock with one that’s 35 mins away from me, I’d happily go if I could reserve it but I can’t and I have a 1 year old and 4 year old so it’s not easy to rush out to try get it and it will be a wasted trip most likely :(
I rang Smyths and showed 5 in stock they said sold out in 2min this morning and it was 9 in stock Northampton
Staff must of kept some for themselves then as my husband queued from 8 this morning at Smyths and was 7th in line and they only had 6 to sell
Shame on you peoples out there buy PlayStation Portal then make profits more money on ebay & amazon than shop normal price just like they did to PlayStation 5.. absolutely disgusting.

I went into Argos Dartford yesterday. No stock :-(
But, they were able to tell me that on the 20th December they are potentially expecting to receive some. Guy said he checked and that is was marked as ‘yellow’.
On the 27th December (obviously too late for those wanting it in time for Xmas), another delivery was also expected, but this time marked as ‘green’.
He explained it’s like a traffic light system as to the likehood of getting the items in.
