Bloody Americanisms lol. I really hope you manage to get one for your son.. my mums a foster parent too two kids with autism and I know how much good a simple games console can be for them. As a lot people don’t realise but you learn loads from playing games. And the comfort thing for them is great. Atb(all the best) on your search. I could acquire a used PS4 and sell it through eBay for you if your search fir ps5 isn’t fruitful. As I know the look on their face when opened would be EPIC! but knock on wood you get a ps5 as that’s the ultimate gift ever! Remember a good 4k tv is needed also for the full effect.
My dad had a stroke whilst under going a heart operation last year, my mom then got cancer in jan 2021. She has her hands full as she also looks after my aunt who as special needs. I come almost daily but my son as Autism so its a tough one. I am excited hunting for one because his face will be lit up at Christmas but if i don't manage i know him and i can get him switch games and try again next year....then that will have been 3 years running lol.

Call your friends Fee and see if any have an EE account and get one secured whilst they have stock .. worth a try
