I have decided i am going to do my very best, going to town daily to check stocks in local shops and be here online for a ps5. I will give it one week today then i will go to 'plan b' haha (couldnt resist) and get him either a ps4 or a vr set and games for his switch :)
We wouldn't recommend that. However, you can easily setup a PSN account. Probably better to do this in advance as it might be too late now although there is still stock of disc version.

If you can afford it - get both and have the 4 as a backup in case the PS5 has problems in the future.

Curry's have Playstation 4 with Spiderman for £279 whilst stocks last
.... at least PS4 games work on PS5 as and when you can get one
